Poem-I said/she said

I said - I can’t

She said - How do you know?

I said - I’m weak

She responded - You are stronger than you think

I said - I’m scared and frightened

She looked at me with so much love and compassion and said - I’m right here. You can do this

I said - I don’t know how to start

She said - Just take a step forward and I will guide you

I said - I am so tired

She cradled me in her arms while I slept

I said - I feel so alone

She replied - I am always walking beside you
